]]>“Magazine on new music and culture”, that’s to be read when visiting Gonzo Circus.com, the website for one of my favourite two-monthly musicmagazines, besides The Wire, supportive regarding all-things Resonance related. In this month’s edition you’ll find articles on Glenn Branca, Felicia Atkinson, Oval/Markus Popp and visual artists such as Bouli Lanners and Manor Grunewald. It’s all about diversity, and all-round quality, in every single domain of the arts-sector, sound or visual.
This month sees a promotion for potential new subscribers : for a measly 5 euros you can subscribe to a trial offer, and get sent two editions to your home. Still reading ? Seriously, you should be making that banktransfer already…
Head over to the Gonzo Blog to win free tickets for Resonance Ghent 2012. All you have to do is send an e-mail, name and address, and a good reason why you think you should get your hands on those highly-desired tickets.

An interview with Yves De Mey of SENDAI fame is featured this week in one of Belgium’s main weekly magazines, HUMO. Run to your newsstand, and read about never-ending flows of releases compared to going to the bakery, the birth of Sendai, child-like enthousiasm of De Mey’s modular home-studio and their exclusive appearance at Resonance Ghent 2012, before heading over to Montreal’s MUTEK festival early June.
Also, catch last Saturday’s broadcast of an hour-long broadcast on Ghent’s very own Urgent.fm, in the show Flowtown, featuring music by Kangding Ray, Peter Van Hoesen, Sendai and Oubys, plus an in-studio interview with Michiel Vanden Broecke, one of the people behind Resonance Ghent.

Gonzo Circus writes :” Geotope is de tijdsopname van het ideale moment waarop digitale muzikale vormgeving perfect samengaat met de zoektocht naar verpulverende, pulserende krachten. Dit is Belgisch en absolute wereldklasse! ”
Boomkat writes :” On Geotope, Peter Van Hoesen & Yves De Mey find a subtle blend of their respective aesthetics primed for audiophiles and home listeners, or even adventurous DJ’s. Ranging from finely sculpted tonal investigations, Alva Noto-esque glitch processes, through abstracted sci-fi interzones, and ultra-spacious diffusions, Geotope is a heavy recommendation for fans of Pan Sonic, Kouhei Matsunaga, Rrose and Emptyset. ”
Sendai’s full-length album ‘Geotope‘ is now digitally available through following online distributors :
