Being obsessed by a constant creative search towards sound, o1o6 (born Michiel Vanden Broecke) started off at the turn of the millenium experimenting with basic and analogue material, including mixing desks, handling the no-input principle, prepared turntables and treated cassettes and compact discs.

Later on he switched from the analogue to digital, mainly working with modular software environments such as Audiomulch, followed by experimental sound design programs such as Argeiphontes Lyre, Soundhack, Max/Msp & IXI Software since his switch to the highly popular OSX platform.

Nowadays he’s mainly focusing on working with visual artists, installation work, dj’ing and keeping the Resonance blog up to date.
